It is the rumours and misinformation surrounding bankruptcy that can make it scary. Declaring bankruptcy is a proven way to help debtors get back on track financially when they have no other options to deal with their debt.
Bankruptcy will eliminate most unsecured debts, but there are a few exceptions, which we will discuss with you if they apply. Unsecured debts include things like: credit cards, income tax and payday loans. You would continue to pay your secured debts (such as car loans and mortgages) if you wish to keep the assets they are attached to.
